Why do you give back/ volunteer? I give back because I truly believe that what we do can help others and I want to make a positive difference in the world around me. It’s a way of fighting for the things I believe in. It gives me a chance to get involved and connect with my community. When we give back we see the world differently.

How long you been in Atlanta: Moved here in 2012, so coming up on TEN years!
What do you do for work? I’m a Marketing Content Writer for an Atlanta-based FinTech company
Top three non-work interest/hobbies: In these post-COVID times, a hobby is getting back to a semblance of normalcy. That includes spending more time with friends and traveling (far!). I also enjoy staying moderately fit by riding my bike, walking,
and soon I’ll be back at a gym too!
Why do you give back/ volunteer? When I moved to Atlanta, I immediately noticed that some of the biggest and most well-attended events were either put on by a community non-profit or benefiting one of the city’s many charitable LGBTQ+ organizations – and I loved that the fun times were underlined by a sense of purpose and support. For me, volunteering is two-fold: I get to immerse myself in the community and its wonderful
people, and I get to volunteer my time and contribute to make the community better and support it where there is a need. That’s also why I love More To Love, because no matter what the initiative or
event, there is an underlying commitment to making a difference.
